The Teapots That Sang to Me
A few weeks ago, after spending time closely studying William Nicholson's The Silver Casket at the Pallant House gallery, I came home and painted this to explore the metallic surface outside of the traditional palette.
These two stainless steel teapots are from one of the many photos I took that day at the gallery café, when the thought suddenly struck me — these teapots are singing to me.
There was a croissant on the small plate at the bottom right which was a good friend of the tea!
